    • Guided tour of National Blues Museum 

    • Performance by local blues musicians

    • Walking tour of downtown St. Louis

    • Lecture and breakout sessions

    • Tour of the Griot Museum of Black History

    • Driving/walking tour of the Ville neighborhood (Sumner High School, Homer G. Phillips Hospital)

    • Educator lecture and breakout sessions

    • Tour of the House of Miles East St. Louis - Miles Davis’s childhood home

    • Tour of the Katherine Dunham Museum (dancer, educator, and activist)

    • Breakout sessions at National Blues Museum

    • Visit to Harris-Stowe State University, an HBCU with historic ties to the since-demolished Mill Creek Valley neighborhood

    • Lecture from radio host, educator, and musician Bernie Hayes—director of Harris-Stowe’s Wolff Jazz Institute and President of the Black Radio Hall of Fame

    • Driving tour of the former Mill Creek Valley and the former site of Pruitt-Igoe public housing

    • Lecture and breakout sessions at the National Blues Museum

    • Presentation by Missouri Historical Society researcher

    • Archival research project using the collection

    • Culminating lesson plan and teaching philosophy statement built off of primary source

    • Final, retrospective session

    • Award ceremony handing out certificates of completion
