The National Blues Museum will be located at the corner of Sixth Street and Washington Avenue, the new Mercantile Exchange (MX) District. This area is ideally positioned in the heart of the city’s downtown tourism region, next to the convention center, within walking distance of the Gateway Arch and the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues sports stadiums.
The MX District is a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood that includes a 212-room hotel, restaurants, movie theatre, shopping, office and residential space and Parking for 750 vehicles.
Located on Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis, the National Blues Museum will be part of the lively MX District.
The Blues Lab will be the central hub where visitors can utilize a number of interactives, including recording and 'jamming' in an interpretive setting.
The Icons/Legends and Timeline exhibit is highlighted with kiosks that contains imagery, artifact(s) and interactive tables where visitors can connect influences of various musicians.
